While working on a schedule-critical application for one of my customers, my computer became infected with a virus. None of the commercial virus-protection software were able to remove the virus. The virus eventually shutdown my computer, and prevented the computer from booting up. My last backup of files was 2 weeks earlier, and I couldn't afford to be set back by two weeks of rework.

While he was not able to diagnose the problem initially, he remained interested and concerned, eventually taking my computer off site for more extensive diagnosis and repair.
